Late Abstract Submission


DRIP XVII encourages submission of original works, either oral or poster presentations as late abstracts:

  • The abstract should present the objectives, essential results and a short conclusion.
  • The total length of the short abstract should not exceed two-page long on A4 Standard (21 cm x 29.7 cm): one text page (1000 words or less, 11 point font) and another page with figures and tables.
  • Please make sure that all the figures/photographs are clearly visible. If the program committee cannot clearly see and understand these visual aids, it will not be properly evaluated.
  • All submitted abstracts will be considered for both oral and poster presentations unless the author specifically requests poster presentation.
  • Please use the provided template for abstract submission.
  • Send the abstract throught the web page by using the registration button or this link.


Late Abstracts are Welcomed

Best Poster Award

The Local Organizing Committee announces the availability of the Award to the Best Poster presented at the conference. Criteria for selection are:

  • Participation at the 17th Conference on Defects-Recognition, Imaging and Physics in Semiconductors (DRIP XVII) as an attendee and author or co-author of a poster.
  • Outstanding performance in the conduct of the work.
  • Significance and timeliness research results.

Best Student Paper Award

The Local Organizing Committee announces the availability of the Award to the Best Student Paper of the conference. Criteria for selection are:

  • Participation at the 17th Conference on Defects-Recognition, Imaging and Physics in Semiconductors (DRIP XVII) as an attendee and paper presenter.
  • Outstanding performance in the conduct of the work and promise for future substantial achievement in the field of defect-recognition.
  • Significance and timeliness research results.
The awards will be offered during the gala dinner. The winners must be present during the gala dinner to get their prize.

Conference Proceedings

Authors presenting their work at the DRIP XVII Conference are encouraged to submit a manuscript for consideration for publication in the conference proceedings.

Proceedings will appear as a special issue of the Journal of Electronic Materials (JEM). It will follow the peer review procedure of Journal of Electronic Materials.

Only work presented by a submitting author that is not published, in press, or submitted for publication elsewhere, will be considered for publication. All manuscripts will be peer reviewed. Acceptance of abstracts for oral or poster presentation does not guarantee its inclusion in the proceedings.
